Last weekend saw Solva embrace the annual frenzy of music, literature, sport, food and indeed drink that is the Edge Festival. Organised, presented and staffed largely by volunteers from the community it is now well established as a shining feature of the Pembrokeshire events calendar.
For those not in the know, Solva is a fabulous village in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, a stones throw from the magnificent City (yes it really is a city) of St David’s. It has been home to Paul & Madeline Cowley for just over 2 years now.
Edge V included some memorable musical acts, including Lady Gaga (sort-of), Definitely Oasis (maybe), the brilliant Bob Marley Experience and our favourites of the weekend, 4th Street. Much merriment was had by all and a quite monumental amount of beer, cider and gin was consumed. (Solva Gin by the way is fast becoming a thing of legend. Do give it a try if ever you are down this way 😉 )
Paul & Mad volunteered for a couple of hours behind the bar on Saturday night and Paul helped a little with dismantling the site on Monday morning.
Huge congratulations and thanks to Josh, Ifor, Dan, Gill, Patrick and all the amazing volunteers for a wicked and wild weekend.
Thanks also to EPS for the stirling work on pulling Cowley Electrical’s big-screen advert into shape.
